The purpose of the Intergroup is to seek knowledge of God’s will for SA in Colorado and the power to carry it out. Intergroup’s ultimate authority is a loving god as he expresses himself in our group conscience. Intergroup achieves goals that are too large or difficult for individual groups. The Colorado SA Intergroup is the local group’s link to SA as a whole and exists to help all 64 weekly SA meetings in Colorado.
According to the SA Service Manual, the Colorado Intergroup:
- Facilitates communication among SA meetings statewide
- Helps in starting new SA meetings
- Runs the coloradosa.org website, telephone referral system, and maintains monetary donations made to the Intergroup
- Maintains and publishes the Colorado SA Meeting Directory online and in hardcopy
- Hosts Regional and International conferences, Step Workshops, and the annual Unity Retreat
- Provides a forum for groups to share ideas for strengthening SA recovery in Colorado
In addition, the Colorado Intergroup:
- Maintains the annual Colorado SA Event Calendar
- Provides sponsorships to conferences, workshops, and retreats
- Links groups to each other, regional, and International SA updates
- Pools Colorado resources and knowledge for recovery
- Provides a statewide SA Group conscience
Who is the Colorado Intergroup? Our service positions currently include:

- Every SA group in Colorado can send a representative to the monthly meeting on the second Saturday in person, or they can sit in via conference call. Meeting minutes are published and available on the coloradosa.org website
